Here we have a few of the baby chicks that I got at a swap meet in Jacksonville. I personally don’t recommend getting chicks this way, I lost almost all of them because I had one chick carrying a disease. It was defiantly a learning curve for us. I have learned that it’s best to get rid of them right away to keep from infecting more birds. In the lower pictures you can see that I incubated some eggs and that we had one to hatch. There is another page that shows one actually hatching, this is very neat and it takes a lot of patience. After a lot of reading about incubating eggs, it’s best to let them do all of the work on their own. However it’s my job to make sure that the conditions stay perfect during the process. |
